Tango is a world-famous dance and music form that inspires and drives its fans. Tango began in the working-class neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Montevideo in the 19th century. The Argentine milonga, the Spanish-Cuban habanera, and the Uruguayan candombe were blended in this social dance.
The tango dance swiftly gained popularity, spreading throughout Argentina's middle and upper classes. It eventually expanded throughout Europe, becoming particularly popular in Paris. The dance had its beginning in New York City in the early 20th century.
As the dance became more popular, different nations developed their types of tango, and tango music became more popular as well. The guitar and the bandoneon, often known as the tango accordion, are two instruments connected with tango music.
After centuries of evolution and popularity, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) added the tango to its Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists in 2009.
