ABOUT THE LEARNING PROCESS?

Is it tough to learn argentine tango? | What is the difficulty level of Argentine tango?

Yes, tango is regarded as one of the more difficult dances to master. Timing can be difficult to perfect. Everyone's body, however, is unique. Because of their physique, some people may find it simpler to pick up some styles than others.

When it comes to learning the tango, how long does it take?

Approximately 3 months. However, as a general rule, a guy will learn to dance in approximately 3 months and will be able to dance semi-competently in about a year; a woman will learn in about half the time.

Is it possible for me to learn to dance at the age of 50?

If you're wondering if it's too late to start dancing, the answer is a resounding NO! You're not too old to start dancing, and it's never too late. Even if it's easy to feel like you're falling behind in dancing, the most important thing is that you begin learning and being active in your training.

Is it best to learn the tango through dance instruction or milonga dancing?

They work well together. Taking classes demonstrates a passion to dance, and milongas fulfill that urge. Milonga dancing, on the other hand, is a fantastic way to learn. We can draw an analogy here, with courses representing weekly training and milonga representing a league match. A footballer prepares for the game, but the game itself will provide obstacles that could never be prepared for. Milongas provide not just educational value, but also a social environment in which to enjoy excellent music, refreshments, and a pleasant and friendly atmosphere in which to spend an evening.

Is it necessary for me to dance with a partner? | Can I tango by myself?

Without a doubt. You arrive, you inquire/are inquired, and you dance. In truth, the majority of tango dancers do not come with a partner, and while it is not a "singles scene," connections do form, as in any subculture.

What should I do to begin studying tango?

An excellent place to start would be to find a tango class near your home and go once a week. You'll know if tango is right for you in no time - but give it some time. You'll want to get some tango shoes once you've established that you're long-term (aka addicted), but that can wait a few weeks.
