Few things to know about tango

1. It is not required to have a constant companion.

2. It is not required to dress up or wear high heels. (However, if you want to, you can.)

3. It is not necessary to have a good "rhythm sense." Tango allows you to dance very slowly and is open to each dancer's musical interpretation.

4. It is not necessary to be younger, slender, fit, and attractive. Although it is rarely depicted in advertising, the reality is that more than half of all tango dancers are over 50 and have no prior dance experience or fitness regimen. Tango appeals to practitioners and intellectuals who are looking for something social and physically expressive, as well as engineers and programmers who are highly analytical, and people from all walks of life who simply don't like small talk.

5. Tango is a protected setting in which the context of connection is well-defined: unwanted sexual touching is prohibited, and participants part respectfully and gently after roughly 15 minutes of dancing.

6. Tango is a great clean and sober activity that needs so much focus that you may not even realize that alcohol is frequently available for purchase at tango events. Most tango dancers believe that tango is best when there is no alcohol around, and they drink very little if at all.

7. Those with an athletic or dance background are often startled by how difficult tango is. Tango is a unique blend of ease and strength that even skilled ballerinas and contemporary dancers find difficult to master. Tango requires experienced ballroom dancers to acclimate to its naturalistic aesthetic.

Why Learn Argentine Tango?

The most popular social dance in human history is the Argentine tango. The rationale is simple: anyone can do it, and everyone appreciates it.

Is it good for kids too?

Teenagers are a raging maelstrom of high metabolism, limitless energy, and hormonal tsunamis, all of which must be channeled somewhere. Dancing is not a passive hobby; it involves coordination, core strength, and a great cardiovascular workout for those who are willing to put in the effort. If you want to give your teen a serious exercise, Argentine Tango dancing is the way to go.
